:: What a pain that was. Most of the time new editions had been printed so you couldn't even resell your books. And chances are, it was only a small amendment to the text.
What I really loved was when you bought a required book (The Remains of the Day) and your professor decides that she doesn't have time for that book, and then the Library won't buy it back from you because the book isn't a requirement for next semester. Fuckers!
