Someone said once that you only remember the good music or movies or culture of the past because that's all that gets remembered. Which is why we sit around today complaining about the crap we see, when in like 60 years they'll talk about all the great films of the 00's. I love film from the 70's but I can still only think of like 12 or 13 movies in a ten year period. The 30's were much earlier so more of the shit falls away, and it looks like a better and better decade.
