I should clarify that it's not that these chemicals are PUT INTO cigarettes... but when you burn anything, a chemical reaction takes place. It just so happens that when a cigarette burns, when tobacco burns and whatever else is in a cigarette, the gases they let off are the previously mentioned chemicals plus those 4,000 others... but there's still some good news...
These chemicals don't sit in your lungs. No, a lot of them will stay in your reproductive organs. Some will gather in your brain. Some in your heart. Some will even gather in your stomach lining. And just so you know, Nicotine (the addictive drug in cigarettes) is also used as an insecticide... just to let you know.
