I've read that book more times than I can remember, and I still pick up something new every time. Seriously, don't write it off just yet though.
: I picked up WATCHMEN the other day cause I'd never read it even though I've been a comics fan my whole life. I'm 22 so it was written before I really even knew how to read so obviously I didn't catch it the first time out. Anyway, I'm a big fan of tradition and history so I knew that I just HAD to read this, so I'm giving it a shot....
: I'm precisely one third through it and so far I must say that its just very boring. Its uninteresting and slow and other than Moore's fairly good prose its just not so good so far. Now I fully realize its an early assessment, but opinions are ever forming and shaping and that's mine of right now. My question (which I should have just posted and left) posed to the many fans of the story is this: is it a slow starter in your opinion? Or are you baffled to why I haven't enjoyed it much more so far? Or perhaps its one that after reflecting on becomes more poignant and interesting? Or am I missing the boat altogether?
: Just wondering. Thanks all...
