-- The art of 'Watchmen' is so much more than just pretty pictures and splash pages of guys in spandex suits. Moore is telling a very deep, intricate story and the art compliments it perfectly. Look at the use of shadow, of perspective, of how everything you see on the page works together.
Seriously, it really seems like you're missing out on all the detail of the book. I hate to sound pompous, but 'Watchmen' isn't like a lot of other comic books, you can't just flick through it to really enjoy it. Take your time with it.
: Cause if that's who you're talking about the art in this book blows. Maybe its just a personal style thing but its just not good. It looks like a middle school kid drew it to me: very basic straight lines, not very interesting to look at period. Maybe that was the concept for the book and the story trying to lull people into thinking/feeling one way about the story as it goes on, but regardless, not impressive artwork. Not even "par" in my eyes. The writing, well the jury's still out on it because I'm not done, but the art eats it hard.
