Oddly enough, a lot of my friends in college had scads and scads of AP credits and were able to graduate in three and a half years or three, in some cases, but since I went to such a damned rural high school, we had exactly one opportunity to pull in college credits... taking freshman English through the community college.
And I'm not complaining, I finangled that lone credit into the reason I was able to take the bare minimum credits in my last semester and spent my weekends playing a professional wrestler in one of the weirdest student films I've ever seen.
This said, I almost stuck around a ninth semester to finish my double major but... thought the better of wasting that money just on a point of pride. Four years of college was more than enough for me...
Two years of working weird jobs in my hometown til the experience drove me west was my real education, one might say.
