Are we talking just the The Hobbit + Trilogy here?

: does anyone still read them or im i the only one ?

Or do you take into account the Silmarillion, the Unfinished Tales, Farmer Ham, and all that other stuff? How about stuff written by Christopher Tolkien? Morgoth's Ring comes to mind, among others. There is a LOT of books out there beyond the Trilogy, filling in a lot of backstory, story tangents and the like. I recommend most of it (specially the Silmarillion) for people who are interested in getting deeper into the story.
