When I was in high school, the band & chorus went on a trip to Virginia Beach. In the middle of the night, the fire alarms went off, and half the power in the hotel went out. We had no idea what was going on; it could very easily have been a gas leak. And the frigging Assistant Band Director pops out his Zippo to light his way down the stairs, until about six people smacked him.
Fuckin' moron. Sweet guy, but... not very bright, sometimes.
