That either you or the 'Max guys have come up with for what's a successful opening weekend? What's a successful North American run?
The standard 2.5 times the budget for the whole run... or... something else?
I think it'll do a really really nice slowburn, keep the numbers up from week to week, repeat viewers, simmering word-of-mouth sorta thing... the kind of thing that could even turn Gigli's unpopularity with some into a positive, you know?
Like... you'll have your core fans, you'll have Affleck's core fans... you'll have the people who just wanna go out and catch a good dramatic comedy to break up the winter... and then you'll get the assholes who think they're going to it "ironically" to mock it because of their opinion of Gigli (even though they probably never SAW Gigli...)
And when it turns on the snobs and they realize they're watching a great movie, they'll have to come back a second time to properly enjoy it and tell all their friends.
A little optimistic? Sure. But not outside the realm of possibility.
