It should be making fun of the new trilogy, which makes John Candy's character irrelevant. I loved the guy, and I miss him, but Brooks has already made fun of the original trilogy - it's time to make fun of the new ones.
Actually, I think a send-up of the new trilogy by Brooks could be brilliant. He's been spending far too much time on the Producers - we need a Spaceballs 2: The Search for Schwartz!
