OK, i'm a stoner. Or, I am when I'm not on prescription drugs, anyway. While if I WEREN'T a stoner, I'd have hated Dude, Where's My Car, due to its complete and utter stupidity... I have to admit that with enough weed, it's pretty damned funny.
Now, Trainspotting is actually a good film. A disturbing film, but a good film nonetheless. I have it on VHS - I'm waiting for the ultra-uber DVD that was released in the UK to be released here before I buy it on DVD; the one they released here has very little extra shit on it. Favorite line in Trainspotting:
"I hate being Scottish. We're the lowest of the fucking low, the scum of the earth, the most wretched, servile, miserable, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some people hate the English, but I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are colonized by wankers. We can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by. We are ruled by effete assholes. It's a shite state of affairs and all the fresh air in the world will not make any fucking difference."
I'm not down on the Scottish that way (I quite like them, actually), but I still think it's a great line.
