Batman-On-Film.com. That dude's got all the reports before anyone else.
Based on the info at hand, I see very little danger of suckitude. Christian Bale is the best available Batman. Michael Caine is a dream casting for Alfred. Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) is playing the Scarecrow. Katie Holmes is the love interest. Ra's has either not been cast, or has not been announced. Both Kurt Russell and Chris Cooper have been rumored for Commissioner Gordon, though apparently both deny interest. Lawrence Fishburne is reportedly who they're after to play head of Wayne Enterprises Lucious Fox.
The movie will film in Europe with London doubling as Gotham City. There will also be some filming in Iceland, at the same location used for the ending of "Die Another Day".
From what I can tell, director Christopher Nolan doesn't want it to be called a re-launch. It's simply his version of a Batman film. I don't think we'll know it's a full-on relaunch until they start recycling villains. Using a pre-Two-Face Harvey Dent may not mean it's a re-launch. When they bust out the Joker, I'll believe it.
