But funny.
Funny that Doctors and PH'ds are held in higher esteem than people who have reached other forms of success, such as...oh...the Presidency, or rising the corporate ranks. Is the assumption that this requires only a below-average intelligence?
Your question was interesting to me and I found many expaliatons for it... here is a sampling of non ashfannian original thought on the subject.
"Child-like" is operative. The further left you go, the less you like growing up. That is one reason so many professors are on the left. Never leaving school from kindergarten through adulthood enables one to avoid becoming a mature adult. It is no wonder a liberal professor has recently argued that children should have the vote. He knows in his heart that he is not really an adult, so why should he and not a chronologic child be allowed to vote?"
I found this amusing, and thought I would share... and then I stumbled onto HLS, or "Humorless liberal Syndrome"... very good.
Looks like the answer to your unsupported claim that the majority of MD's and PHD's are liberal is that they never had a chance to grow up, and exposed to far to many years of schooling have fallen prey to the brainwashing effects of the liberal zombification process.
Monkey see Monkey do!
Now don't go all HLS on me, I am having fun here.
