I would watch the movie again and try to estimate the relative sizes of Dante and the counter, the cigarette sign, the door, etc, then use Inaction Dante to measure out your diorama.
I think it would be funny if you painted a little bathroom door at the back and put an "occupied" sign on the handle.
Now *I* want to make a diorama -- I love miniatures. But I'm not quite ready to accept my fate as a dollhouse-making cat lady...not yet...
