Strange Dallas morning radio phenomenon

So, since I have to be at work before 8, there I was, huddled in a corner of my classroom, listening intently to Kevin's interview on my low-volume radio while my students worked quietly at their desks (as they do every morning at the start of the day). Strangely, though, this morning, we heard NO announcements in my classroom, enabling me to listen to the entire interview...

Later, when I polled other teachers, they did hear announcements in their rooms.

Coincidence? Or does Kevin hold power greater than we know?
