: Today, at 5:07am my girlfriend's best friend, who met her on the first day of Kindergarten, died of Lukemia. She was Christine's (My girlfriend) first friend and even though they moved to different districts in the 3rd grade, they didn't part at all. They've been through so much and loved each other more than anyone on the face of the planet. Ashley (Christine's friend) has been battling it since July of 2002 and today she ended her suffering. I've known these 2 people since Junior High and their bond is a testiment to the raptures of life. We're gonna miss her terribly (already do) because she was just the sweetest most caring and friendly person you'd ever want to meet. I'm not telling you this for pity or anything like that. I'm just saying that this tragic event in our lives has made me see how beautiful and precious friendship is. Please don't forget that as well. Life is short. Let's not leave old arguments open. Don't have any regrets. In short, embrace it and cherish it, because you never know when it might be taken away from you.

It's too often that we take everything especially the importance of friendship for granted. I understand exactly what you mean when you talk about friendship because i recently moved 2300 miles away from my sweet home and my close friends. i could honestly say all the money in the world couldn't make me want to loose those friends or the good times we had. Life is short it's important to cherish all the good and pure things in life like friendship. My prayers go out to those who suffer the loss and i think it's a very good gesture for you to speak of her. I'm sure it makes her happy for you to spread good words of her and what you and your girlfriend may have realized from this.
