It seems like a no-win situation for him. No matter what he says other than the wholly impossible "yes" you're going to twist into something awful. Why even reply? Ignoring it seems the only viable choice.

All this said, he's doing a lot of press right now, he may legitimately have not read it, he's busy beyond busy.

That's regardless of the fact that your request is just like... an emotional trap, whether you realize it or not. I mean, the guy barely has a half-hour to breathe when he's just writing in LA, how much he's got on his plate when filming or promoting is almost... indescribable.
