: True, it is their money (although it's arguable if you'd consider that some of them "earned" it).
i don’t think its arguable at all...they possess something, be it talent, an incredible publicist, a marketing force, something that appeals to the masses and the masses pay for the privilege of being exposed to it. its market-driven...does alex rodriguez 'earn' his, i dunno, billion dollar, salary? no, but in this market, that's what his skills demand. would that it were sarcastic webcomic creators that were in such demand, yeah?
:Personally, I'm not of a fan of people that have more money than they have any idea what to do with so they piss it away because they can.
i haven’t walked in any of their shoes, so i can't make the logical leap from the first part of that statement to the next. i honestly think its all relative...you might buy your honey a necklace for christmas, kevin buys his wife a range rover. these people live larger than us, but the expense based on what they have available to them probably correlates almost exactly with our spending habits.
: Am I bitter and jealous? Sure.
we all are, some of us just hide it better. :D
: But understand that it comes from actually WORKING with people like this on a dialy basis, and busting my poor ass all day to help MAKE them richer.
ahhh, then you probably have a better insight to this than i do. don't worry, your toil and antipathy at this juncture will no doubt serve you well when you have achieved your success...
