this movie won't be any good. It looks wonderful and Kevin Smith has yet to let us down. Is it the lack of Jay and Bob? or is it small minded people who don't think Kev can make a serious movie? This shit is really starting to piss me off.
people need to stop judging EVERYTHING and making speculations without any facts. Just let things be the way they are. JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED. Sorry about the scary bible moment, i'm in a bad place right now, and tierd of people being REALLY FUCKING RETARDED.
: I'll be brief (or I'll try), mainly cuz I should be doing work right now.
: I went to the Paulsboro screening of Jersey Girl last night.
: I gotta admit, I was more excited about getting to see Kevin than the movie, I guess because I simply didn't have tremendous hope that the flick would be good.
: I was wrong. Jersey Girl is a friggin great film. The best way to describe what I saw was that it was a mixture of what we know and love about Kevin, with something sweeter and softer and emotionally amazing. I had tears streaming down my face at least 2 times. I remember thinking how odd it was that a Kevin Smith film was touching me in such a way. Even odder was that Affleck's performance was so strong that the first scene that had me balling was between him and an infant (I just don't think of Afflect as a tear-jerking performer).
: After the film, when the man himself took stage, I felt the urge to run up and hug the shit out of him...and not just because he looked incredible. I had laughed big hearty smith-style laughs, I was touched, I cried, I felt great. I even got to see the back of nastypups head as she introduced herself to Kevin.
: and to hear Kevin say the word "buttfucking" to a crowd made up largely of older Paulsboro residents, politicians, and newsfolk, was priceless.
: Kevin also made some very touching comments about his relationship with his dad, for whom the film was dedicated.
:
: One of the cooler moments was during a scene that was filmed in the very auditorium where we sat. It was kinda surreal...almost like the file turned it's camera back on us, the audience. and there was a spot where a seat number where one of the stars was to sit was showm and tons of people in the audience started rustling in their seats to see if they were in that same seat.
: awell...I am getting long winded here. To summarize, movie ruled, kevin rules, I had a night I will never forget, and I truly believe this movie will do amazingly well.
: Thanks Kevin, for another great film, and for an awesome night!
