in a lab in 1967, we had a dress code. Can you imagine working in a research lab in a dress and nylon stockings? One day, I dripped acid on my nylons and they dissolved ;-). By the mid-70s, the dress code was history so I wore jeans and t-shirts or sweaters every day to work for the next 20 years. The only time I got dressed up was for a scientific meeting where I was the speaker. It always felt as if I was putting on a costume for a play. Currently, I don't own any dress clothes so, if I got invited somewhere that required me to dress up, I couldn't go. I hope my daughter elopes ;-)
