: D-Link makes decent stuff so there's no worries there. But, it is not a firewall. A firewall does SPI or Stateful Packet Inspection. This device doesn't seem to offer SPI. What it offers is NAT or Network Address Translation. This is helpful in preventing intruders, but it is not a replacement for a good firewall. This may or may not be an issue for you, but if you have a fulltime connection I suggest a true firewall.
: I didn't see a price, but assuming you have a DSL or cable connection, you may want to consider a SnapGear Lite2 firewall. It's a true firewall and can be directly connected to your cable modem. They run around $200. A little tricky to configure, but very flexible and secure.
