The difference between "good" and "buy worthy" comes into play for me. If i can rate a movie above a 7.5 every time i see it, its buy worthy. otherwise its just a good flick. (or in secret window's case, barely worth the money to go see. DAMN YOU STEVEN KING! but whoo hoo for Depp!)
: ever get in the way of you enjoying a movie? Say, when you rent a flick, do you ever find yourself commenting on or criticizing the camera angles.. Lighting.. Direction.. etc. rather than just enjoying the movie? For example, the movie Butterfly Effect.. I was shocked, really.. I thought it was great the first time I went to see it.. Then I went back to see it with a friend of mine and found myself paying attention the plot holes and what not.. Same with Terminator.. In addition to the plot holes, it bugged me that Furlong wasn't playing John.. I still liked the flick, but things like that bug me.. Not to say I don't enjoy movies even when I over analyze them, I was just wondering if you fine folks did the same.
