I have a creative block! Outside of going to an alternative high school and working at Taco Bell, I work a public access channel and make movies in my spare time. It seems right now I can only make projects for other people but when it comes to making something for myself I can’t do a thing.
When I need to make a video depicting the sub-culture of America for Australians, I’m all over it and can make hanging out at an all night diner seem like the peak of existence. They want me to direct a show; I can get a crew and have everything ready to go in fifteen minutes.
Yet, when I sit down to make an anime music video for myself I’m stuck. I barely get going before I lose all the vision I originally had. I’ve made them in just under three days and be perfectly content with the work but now I can’t even get past the first day.
I need to find out how I can get around this mental block. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can dive into a project and maintain my vision?
