I watched a couple of documentaries which were pretty decent. "Spellbound" follows a number of kids and their parents to the National Spelling Bee, it was pretty entertaining. Some of these parents are almost like "sports dads/moms." Living vicariously through their kids, I suppose.
I also watched the Hughes brothers "American Pimp," which examined the lifestyle and mind set of a range of pimps from across the country. It was pretty interesting as well. As to features, the last flick I watched that I really enjoyed was "Lost in Translation." I did buy the Criterion edition of "Ikiru" yesterday, if you like foreign flick and particularly Kurosawa, this is a good flick to watch.
