It's great to see Charlie Kauffman as a big name draw- A writer who can draw in crowds, even if it's a very select crowd, can only be a good thing for an aspiring writer such as myself, Kauffman being one of my big influences, Mr Smith being the other (There are a few references in my thesis screenplay Flowers)
: : It's like getting a chart Number One- A big blitz of publicity can get you a quick slam bang fifty million and then the drop off will be just enough to cover your losses. What you have to watch are the ones with legs, that slowly and steadily get more and more money (a la Big Fat Greek Wedding).
: : : place with $27.3 million. Eternal Sunshine, that got excellent reviews, only took in $8.56 million and is in 6th place. Taking Lives got horrible reviews and is in 3rd place with $11.4 million. Makes you wonder.
