I agree somewhat

I don't know very much about comics so a lot of these backstories were kind of nice for me.
For Spiderman I knew a little, and Xmen I knew a fair bit from watching the cartoons in the early 90s, but I found (especially for Spiderman) that the backstory took up too much of the movie. It just took too long for the movie to really get started.
Daredevil's backstory was just about perfect for me. Short and sweet, and kind of done in a flashback sense (if I remember correctly) which I like because its better IMO than having the movie take place over several years because it starts out with the young Parker. This is why I liked Xmen better, because much of the back story (especially Wolverine) was also done in flashback sense. This was also a good thing about the Batman movies, but he, like Hornet, will have less backstory as well.
But with the sequels they were (or will be) able to just get into the story, without much in the way of backstory, and whatever backstory there will be I would imagine will be worked in through flashbacks.
And about Hellboy, I am actually more interested in this movie from seeing the TV trailers than I am from seeing the trailer in front of ROTK I believe. I won't be shelling out cash (poor student and such) to see it in theatres, but I will definitely be renting.
