Of course the "Goodnight Gertie" speech does underline everything that's been happening the past 20-30 minutes or so (don't remember, been a while since I've seen it), but it's also the moment that Affleck says "You know what, I'm going to do this." It's the act break; it encapsulates what the movie's about, and it's a pretty good monologue.
A lot of people wind up saying shit to a people they'd never say to a person or probably admit to themselves. It's been done in movies before, but Kevin did it really well himself.
Other than that, the Ansen piece has been, my favorite piece of JG Press.
