: are there any animals tha could knock up a human? seriously, not trying to be funny. could a woman get pregnant by a horse? a gorilla? obviously not a blue whale or an ant, but how different are the animals anotomy that they wouldn't fertilize a woman? and what about a guy impregnating a female animal? is that possible in any form?
No, because the chromosomes wouldn't match for a proper fertilization to occur. Humans have 23 chromosomes during reproduction ( sperm and egg each have 23 ) and together they = 46 ( pretty sure it's 46 total, but may be 48 or something in which it would be 24 chromosomes for each sperm and egg ). people who are missing or have an extra chromosome have disorders like down sydrome. Different animals have different number of chromosomes. So i'm pretty sure it's impossible.
