As far as superhero stuff, I really like JMStracynski (spelling, I know) and his work on Amazing Spider-Man. Fantastic Four's new Marvel Knights line just got started and is cool, same thing goes with its Ultimate title.

I'm liking Judd Winnick's crime series CAPER. Mark Millar's WANTED is interesting to me as well at this point. I just picked up the first three issues (in one volume) of EL CALZADOR which looks pretty good to me so far. Oh, I read the first issue of LIGHT BRIGADE and its shaping up to be great. I still think 100 BULLETS is probably the best thing out there since PREACHER has ended.

Oh also, the past year and a half or more of DAREDEVIL has been fan-freaking-tastic. I love Bendis's writing of ol' Hornhead. Great great stuff that is really tackling some of the "what ifs" about being a superhero in general in a very new way. Pick it up, you'll see what I mean.

I also read: UNCANNY X-MEN, SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN, OUTSIDERS (I love Judd Winnick now!), TEEN TITANS, BATMAN & SUPERMAN, Azzarello's BATMAN stuff of the moment (though its not his best stuff in my opinion), and the one the only Jim mother-grabbing Lee is going to start drawing Supes, so do NOT miss that. As a speculative buy (which I would never recommend) this would be a can't miss. Oh, CONAN has just come back and is looking promising. Actually, I really like EMMA FROST right now too. A very unique look on this character as a young girl and pretty well-written.

Clearly, I could go on and on, but that's my takes.
