Personally, I thought the "Yes, Dear" spot was funny. I find it pretty shitty that when just because someone who may have once been considered "independant", starts to not only gain more success or fame, but just start to reach out to a wider audience have somehow become "sellouts". And I find it also pretty funny that the people who are accusing Kevin Smith of being a sellout also say they are the "greatest fans". If they were actually great fans, they should be happy his movies will reach a wider audience and become a little more appreciated. But hey, thats just one guy's opinion, right? I hope Jersey Girl does really well and Lays the Podium Down on the box office!! Boo-ya!
By the way, the Toronto show at Roy Thompson Hall was friggin great!! A million thanks go out to Kevin for coming and entertaining everyone for the 4 hours or so. And damn, did I feel bad for the sign-language ladies on the stage interpreting some, umm....colorful, dialog and stories. They indeed, earned thier pay that night.
Thanks again to Kevin for a really cool show.
