First of all, the writer mispelled Scott Mosier's name. Bad journalist, bad.
What constantly amazes me, as a newer fan of Kevin's movies -- and as a middle-aged woman -- is that interviewrs seem to think his fan base consists of teenage boys. That's all, just teenage boys. I avoided Kevin Smith movies for many years because I had that false notion as well. Boy, I was wrong -- and Chasing Amy convinced me otherwise. There is so much truth, beauty and passion in Kevin's dialogue, insert name of any of his films. The man has much to say to me in the movies. And now, I'm listening.
Kevin is a wordsmith. Roger Ebert noted that fact in his excellent TV review this weekend. So many modern-day directors can make flashy films with lots of FX. Only a handful write honey for actors to spew out on the silver screen. You go, Kevin -- keep writing those delicious words.
I'm anxiously anticipating Friday afternoon to see Jersey Girl. What a treat we awaits us.
