You know that running joke in Mallrats about getting fucked in an uncomfortable place in the back seat of a Volkswagon? Truffaut did,in fact, try to fuck Kevin in the back seat of Volkswagon at the Cannes film festival. Litle known fact,keep it under your hat.
: I'm writing a paper about François Truffaut and I was wondering if Kevin was influenced by him at all in the way that the characters in the movies know each other and seem to all live in the same world. This is also the case in Truffaut's Antoine Doinel series. I'm looking for more directors that were influenced by any of his films, so if anyone has some info. let me know. And if Kevin himself or anyone else can give me some info. on the first part, let me know that too.
