Circumstances. Timing. That shit busts up relationships, lives, careers, but you can't keep talent down. I ain't concerned about nobody's bounce-back, hyah.
I can't lie to you, son. You've got the Sadim touch. Nothing but incredible talent for making movies that people won't stop talking about, but for whatever reason, prefer to enjoy in the comfort of their own homes. Do you want to be a dude who can deliver the BOX OFFICE BONANZAS on a consistent basis? Then you got some work to do and that's an awesome challenge, go for it. If the timing is right and all the elements come together then I believe you can be a...SUPA-STAH!
On the other hand, while I don't want to discourage you from whatever it is you have in mind as a goal -- I gotta point out, Quentin Tarantino don't regularly deliver box office, neither does Spike Lee, neither does fuckin' Marty Scorcese, neither do the Coen brothers, neither does Cameron Crowe, neither does anyone else who's worth the ticket money. Ain't that the ultimate irony of American cinema? So, don't sweat popularity; Hollywood ain't high school. Just keep on doing your thing.

I liked it, but for some reason "Volume 1" hit me with a harder impact. I'm waiting to see the inevitable "special special" DVD down the road with the 3.5-hour long version before I judge which one is best.
