I'm pretty liberal and I completely agree with the POLITICAL statement of that cartoon in general. However, it was extremely inappropriate and disrespectful to use Pat Tillman's name. It portrayed him as a racist and they called him an idiot and a sap for getting killed in battle. The cartoonist could have easily just used a johnny everyman nameless soldier type and I'm sure it would still piss off a lot of people just for the political message...and even then I think it's offensive for portraying soldiers who die in a war that's considered unnecessary, misguided or outwardly deceptive as saps and idiots. I really hope that artist isn't pulling one of those "If so many people get upset over it I must be doing SOMETHING right" and realize he's just being a douchebag to make his political point.
: : MSN.com removed this from their site. It's a political cartoon from Ted Rall. As a soldier, I'd like to find this guy, hunt him down and beat the shit out of him for disrespecting soldiers as mindless drones.
