It appears that he just didn't give a fuck. How would he have been a better person? A better husband? Did this guy even listen to anything Pat Tillman said on September 12th?
It wasn't about being a puppet to Bush, it was about serving the country he loved. His father told him he always regretted not following the rest of his family into the military. He was, I believe, third-generation military.
