There ain't a damn thing wrong with a slasher movie.
True, they aren't really frightening. Or scary at all. But when a good slasher movie comes along, one that knows it doesn't have to be scary but manages to pull it off without becoming totally campy, that's when it's some shit to savor.
Despite the cheesiness, straight-to-cable slasher movies from the 90's and all that copycat shit from the 80's are endlessly entertaining. That movie the Dentist, that was some creepy shit.
