: : who wishes that people would stop making suck a bog deal about how much other people weigh.

: I am very entertained by that typo :).

It is pretty funny. I re-read that post a couple of times, so I have NO idea how both of those slipped through!

: I'm pretty heavy, but I can understand this. I don't think it's so much a fetishizing over how much he weighs, as he's stated a desire to lose weight for his health and looks, and he's done it, and I'm proud of him for it. I gotta work on that department myself. It's not like it's the most important thing in the world to me, or like I'm going to be at the gym 8 hours a day, but congradulating the man is appropriate, I think.

Yeah, I suppose. But I guess it just bugs me that people think skinnyness is some sort of great thing. And it sometimes makes people seriously ill trying to attain a weight that is simply unnatural for their body. I think it's better to just be healthy at whatever weight your body wants to be at. I wish Kevin (or anyone) didn't have to feel that he needs to lose weight. And congratulating him on his weight loss only reinforces the whole stigma of heavy=bad. You know what I mean?

I don't know. Personallt, it just pisses me off when people are disappointed in me because I'm not skinny.
