I live in New Zealand, where you can only play Zone 1 or Zone 4 DVD's. You can get your DVD player illegally modified to make it multi zone, and play DVD's from anywhere in the world.
but it shouldn't be too long until you can buy Multi Zone players legally, which can play all DVD's
