Okay, casting in a movie is a big deal. When I read the supposed cast for Dogma, I can say I was pretty impressed for the most part. It seems to have a comprehensive list of celebrities in there. How were they picked? ie. I would have NEVER in a million years thought Ben Afflect and Mattt Damon going hand in hand as lead parts. That seemed very un-Smitty to me, like he was vouching with the whole teeny-bopper thing but then I considered that Kevin doesn't do casting, does he? Just approve? Anyway... I must say Afflect performed greatly in Mallrats but him and Damon together seems so... wrong. It's too common of a match after Goodwill Hunting. In addition, YOU HAVE CHRIS ROCK! Why not make him lead? I think he is such a funny comedian, but then again, my Jersey-gal opinion is not at the high ranks of Smith and his associates. Jason Smith, too, satanish in Dogma? LoL, I have to say I can imagine that easily, and Lee seems the type able to adapt to most any role, like the contrast from Mallrats to Chasing Amy (I didn't even recognize Lee in Amy). Most of my examples are based on rumors or off-askew sites I have visited; any un-true information was just a mishap on the part of the site's owner or my own assumption. This letter is getting awfully long and my eyes are hurting just typing this, but I am a raging Smith fan and I want answers damnit! Also, I think I am special and shall be picked as such a great pheno... oh forget it. Thank yee.
