I hear great things about the Hoyt's theaters--both the one in Alexandria and the one in Manassas--but I haven't been to either. Of course, I understand that the concession prices are through the roof, and the Manassas one is waaaay out there.
I've had mixed experiences at Springfield Mall; all in all, not my first choice. In all likelihood, I'll head out to the Fairfax Town Center or one of the Mulitplexes (Arlington Boulevard/Lee Highway or Centreville)--I'm sure it'll be playing at all of the above. I live just off the parkway, so it's not too hard to reach either (and my parents live in Fairfax, so it's easy to drop the kids off on the way--they're out of town this weekend, though, so we're looking for a babysitter).
Of course, if ever there were an excuse to visit the new Hoyt's theater, this would be it....
And hey, Ming--thanks so much for the updates--this certainly goes above and beyond the call of duty! I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say we appreciate it. (Okay, I know that doesn't fit in with the naturally surly attitude normally prevalent on this board--so sue me.)
