MALLRATS is supposed to take place the day *before* CLERKS, so he actually lost a lot of weight really fast, not to mention the speed with which his facial hair grows. He was a little whiskery in MALLRATS but the next day was Grizzly Adams.

I think it would border into the wrong direction. To be honest, I'd rather see Brodie & Banky and/or Shannon & Holden and/or whoever together in a room and have NO ONE make note of it.
Or... have one walk out of the Quick Stop and the other walk in and no one act like there's a resemblance, simply greet them both properly.
