: Although this is my first feature (and my parter's second) we were just fortunate enough to get the cash to get the thing made. (Less than 50 grand.) DOES IT EVER GET ANY EASIER FINDING THE INVESTORS??? I always read about Scorsese grumbling about investors, but we're purposely staying modest and practical just so we can give up our shitty day jobs.

I always seem to hear filmmakers talk about those damn investors, but I don't understand your gripe. Drawing from your experience at your shitty day job, you should know that even fifty grand does not come easy. So it should come as no surprise that someone might be reluctant to part with that kind of scratch for anyone, especially an untested director. Something like one in ten films makes money so these people are already taking a huge chance. In fact I hesitate to call it investing...gambling would be more accurate.
Just a thought.
