: what i think is that they went to hell. it was stated earlier that this would happen, and so it must happen. otherwise reality would be wiped out; in case you missed the whole point of Bethany & Co. going to stop them in the first place.

-- Did it specifically say in the movie that the angels would go to hell if they tried this (going into the church) and failed? My roommate thought that if God forgave the two of them perhaps they could go back to heaven without destroying creation...?
