Of-fucking-course we know Bartelby isn't a real person, so you can take that sarcastic rant and stick it up your ass. Anyway, I don't see that Bartelby being a character in a movie makes him unworthy of debate. Characters are written so that you care about what happens to them, and we're unsure of what happened to Bartelby during the movie, so we're discussing it after the movie.
