: when you film the second clerks movie are you going to use the style that you did in the first one?, my segestion is no, use better camera work and sound but keep to the black and white film format.:
I told a friend of mine that Kevin was making a sequel to Clerks and his first response was something to the extent of, "Man, it'd better be in black and white! It...it...it just won't work if its in color!" To which I responded, "Why not?" His only reply was, "It just wouldn't be right."
He sounded way too serious about this and I'm very afraid for my life seeing as how he has threatened to go on a killing spree not unsimilar to that of Bartleby and Loki if the movie is in color.
I think it'll be cool either way myself.
On a sidenote, I just watched the Clerks DVD for the first time (my family just purchased a new computer enhanced with a DVD player and scanner...for those of you who think that this is trivial you have to understand that I was once subjected to a Mac for nearly two years...this new computer is heaven in comparison). I really enjoyed the cut out scenes and have to say that (despite the alternate ending)I think all of the uncut stuff should have been left in. I really really enjoyed it. Can't wait to get the Mallrats DVD.
