Dear Kevin Smith,
I recently saw "Chasing Amy" for the first time. I have been a veteran-Kevin-Smith-movie-fan for years, but until last week I had not seen Chasing Amy. Luckily, I have a great group of friends who care about my intellect enough to hold a viewing in my honor!
Once I put myself back together after watching the movie, I ran to my computer and searched for this website. The summary/mission statement pertaining to Chasing Amy caught my eye and in a matter of minutes I was crying again. You stated,"This flick, more than the other two, is me on a slab, laid out for the world to see...I hope it gets you somewhere...preferably the heart."
This movie got me everywhere. Every second that I was watching, I was enthralled and moved. Thank you for making the best movie I've ever seen. Thank you for being willing to lay yourself out on that slab and for taking the risk involved with creating something wonderful. All of the movies you've made are wonderful works of art, but this one is a masterpiece. THANK YOU for getting me, especially in the heart.
Your always faithful viewer,
Jessica S.
