I have to add that THE SIXTH SENSE, even though it was really good, dragged on. Not too horribly much happenned. If you want to get technical, I'd have to say that it lacked a major conflict. It set up for one with the kid seeing ghosts and all, which he didn't do to much of. There were only a few specific scenes that he saw ghosts, it wasn't like they were just casually there, they came after him, and not all of them had something they wanted to show him, cuz they didn't all know they were dead. And after you have this build up for something to happen to the boy, you find out that the completely unlinked scene in the beginning did have a purpose. Even so, the fact that he was dead was almost in no way linked to the rest of the movie. The 90% he mentioned is the lead up and story line involving the boy. The sixth sense the kid had had almost nothing to do with the denoumant, and the final outcome. Ultimately, it would have been a much better movie had the two different plots been blended together more. There should have been many more incidents with ghosts, ghosts just wandering in the backround sometimes, and most of all, there should have been a lot more unexplainable scenes involving the fact that Bruce Willis was a ghost. Yes it would have made it not one of the most surprising endings of the year, but it would have made the rest of the film a lot better. The movie's main, and almost only, claim to fame was the surprising ending, and the great performance by the kid.
My two cents.
