Hold it, hold it. The sixth sense was a carefully crafted piece of work, with very few holes in the plot, with accurate, believable casting.
Please note that it is actually possible for a movie that the majority of the public finds interesting to be a well done film. There is no law against it. There seems to be a prevelant naive attitude that any entertainment medium, be it music, movies or otherwise, that finds commercial success and popularity is automatically unhip and produced only for some sort of suburban WASP-ish, out-of-touch person. I agree with Vincent in asking for specifics on the 90% question, and offer my own interpretation of the 90% qualities that were missing from the movie:
The sixth sense had no:
Car chases or explosions: 40%
Nekkid chicks: 50%
Which leaves about 10 % of actual story. See END OF DAYS for an example of how to pad a script with explosions, breasts and guns properly.
