: Okay Maybe I am just idealistic, but wasn't the whole point of the movie redemption? Not just for Bartleby and Loki, but for Bethany, Rufus, hell maybe even Jay and Silent Bob. It would, in my opinion, ruin the movie to think that Loki and Bartelby went to hell.

Why would it ruin it, because Ben looked so sad at the end, poor Ben killing all of those people and trying to end existance, poor baby, I'm sorry I upset you, *poof* off to heaven you go, just don't let it happen again.

I mean what the hell did you people like about the movie that would keep you liking it if you thought that they weren't forgivin.

Forgiven? What did Bartleby or Loki do to deserve forgiveness? Kill innocent people or try to end existance? I forget which one was supposed to be an act of redemption?

Don't get me wrong thats not the only thing I liked about the movie, but damn I wouldn't like it nearly as much if it didn't add up to them being forgivin. I consider DOGMA to be one of my all time favorite movies, but it would really ruin it for me to hear that the went to hell. I can deal with Chasing Amy's ending not being certain. I don't try to decide if Holden ended up with her our not, I think that was half the beauty of that movie, but to even consider the fact that Bartelby and Loki went to hell would ruin the whole movie.

Ruin the movie? gosh, you must really have a crush on Ben and Matt. They DESERVED TO GO TO HELL.....Just because you were sympathetic towards them at the end doesn't mean they deserve to go to heaven.

I ask Kevin to please not tell us if they went to heaven or hell. Let those of us who think it impossible for them to go to hell hold on to our error if it is an error at all. I believe Bartelby had a line that asked something about God's eternal patience. I figured that God was answering his question by forgiving them. Here is my take on the whole thing and though it may be wrong. The reason all the things in the movie happened was because God wanted it to happen. I doubt some teenage kids on roller blades could really kick Gods ass, but God allowed it to happen so that Batelby, Loki, Bethany, and Rufus could find peace with themselves. If God had of wanted to then he/she could have gotten up and walked right out of the hospital at any time.

yeah because he/she was in human form and in a coma, but normally humans can snap out of coma's if they try hard enough.
