Kevin--

You have spoken several times about wanting to make a good movie based on the Oliver Queen "Green Arrow" character, and I would like to make a humble suggestion for casting: if you want a muscular but not "Arnie-esque" actor, and intelligent actor who is still blue-collar enough to eat five-alarm chili, a disarmingly charming yet still potentially physically intimidating actor to play Ollie, go for Dennis Quaid.

He's not too young (Ollie should be played "aged" a bit), nor too old (he's still gotta be spry enough to be a rogue), he's got the right "feel" to him, and he's a great actor. Heck, Meg Ryan could even play Black Canary if you want (though she certainly wouldn't be my first choice). He's also a stickler enough for quality that he's willing to co-produce a good movie just to get it done right (and stick his neck out to get something made if his heart is in it).

Anyway, I felt so strongly about this (and about getting a GOOD movie made at some point) that I actually sent Mr. Quaid copies of the first "Green Arrow" mini-series and the "Longbow Hunters" mini-series. I haven't heard back from him, but I figure it was worth $20 or so to get his attention and plant a seed.

Please let me know what you think--ANYONE let me know what you think. I actually have two good "separated at birth" pics of Quaid and Queen to demonstrate their similarities, available by email by request.
